Helen Mount viola is a beautiful, early-blooming pansy that will add color and life to any garden. Perfect for rock gardens or wild gardens, these delicate blooms come in purple, yellow, and white and are 1-2" in size. They are also known as heart's ease, Johnny jump-up, and European field pansy. Helen Mount violas are perennial in zones 4-9. And not only are they beautiful to look at – the flowers are also edible! Start seed indoors 8-10 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 60-75°F. Transplant to the garden 1-2 weeks after your average last frost date.
