Borage

Borage is a generous garden herb with cucumber-flavored leaves, star-shaped blue flowers, and strong appeal for bees. The blossoms are traditionally used fresh in drinks, salads, desserts, and garnishes, while the plant adds easy color to edible landscapes.

Direct sow where plants will grow, since the taproot dislikes disturbance. Give borage room, harvest young leaves sparingly, and allow some flowers to remain for pollinators and self-sowing.
