We want you to feel confident in every order you place with Bucktown Seed Company. Our seeds and products are selected with care, packed by our small team, and backed by our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Seed Quality & Germination Guarantee

We stand behind the quality of our seed. Seed lots are regularly tested for germination and must meet our quality standards before they are packed and shipped.

Every seed packet is covered by our satisfaction guarantee for one full year from the date of purchase. If you believe there may be a quality or germination issue, contact us at support@bucktownseed.com. We will review the situation and, when appropriate, provide a replacement, store credit, or refund of the original purchase price.

Growing results are affected by soil, temperature, moisture, planting depth, weather, pests, storage, and other conditions beyond our control. For that reason, we cannot guarantee crop yield or plant performance after germination.

Damaged, Incorrect, or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged, contains the wrong item, or includes a defective product, please contact us promptly.

When appropriate, we will provide a replacement, store credit, or refund of the original purchase price. We may request photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping label, or ask that the item be returned for review.

Returns

Eligible unopened and unused items may be returned within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify for a full refund, items must be unopened, unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition.

Opened seed packets are handled under our Seed Quality & Germination Guarantee rather than our standard return policy.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Opened seed packets
  • Gift cards
  • Final-sale items marked non-returnable
  • Items damaged through misuse, improper storage, or normal wear

Opened or used non-seed merchandise may be accepted at our discretion and may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Return Shipping & Costs

If the return is due to our error, or the item is damaged, incorrect, or defective, Bucktown Seed Company will cover the return-shipping cost.

For other eligible returns:

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • A 15% restocking fee may apply to eligible opened or used merchandise

How to Request a Return or Guarantee Claim

Log in to your customer account using the profile icon on our website and select the applicable order.

You may also email support@bucktownseed.com with your order number, the item involved, a brief description of the issue, and photographs when applicable.

Please wait for return instructions before mailing an item back to us.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after the returned item has been received and reviewed.

Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to process the refund.

Limitation of Liability

Bucktown Seed Company’s responsibility is limited to replacement of the affected item, store credit, or refund of the original purchase price.

We are not responsible for crop loss, loss of yield, lost revenue, labor, time, growing expenses, or incidental or consequential damages caused by weather, soil conditions, pests, animals, improper storage, planting methods, or other circumstances beyond our control.
