Returns & Refunds

We want you to be confident in what you plant and pleased with what you receive.

Seed quality & germination guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our seeds, which are frequently tested to ensure excellent germination, and guarantee they will grow and thrive with proper care. If your seeds do not perform after following the growing instructions, contact us immediately at support@bucktownseed.com for a replacement or refund.

Damaged, incorrect, or defective items
If we make a mistake or an item arrives damaged or incorrect, we’ll replace it at no cost or issue a full refund. We may ask you to return the original item in its original condition so we can inspect it and improve our packing and processes.

Return window
Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of the shipping date.

Eligibility
Items must be unopened and in original packaging to receive a full refund.
If an item is opened, used, or not in original condition, a 15% restocking fee applies.
Certain items are non-returnable, including opened seed packets, gift cards, and final-sale items.

Return shipping & costs

  • If the return is due to our error or a damaged/incorrect/defective item:
    We cover return shipping and refund the full purchase price (or send a free replacement).

  • All other returns (wrong item ordered, changed mind, etc.):
    The customer pays return shipping, and original shipping charges are non-refundable. A 15% restocking fee applies if the item is opened or used.

How to start a return
To request a return, log in to your account using the profile icon on our site and submit a return request for the applicable order. If you checked out as a guest, you can create an account using the same email address you used at checkout to view your order history and start a return.

Bucktown Seed Company’s liability shall be limited to replacement of the unsatisfactory item or refund of the original purchase price. No other express guarantee or warranty is made in respect thereof.
