Centaurea (Bachelor's Button)
Bachelor’s buttons bring blue, pink, white, purple, and near-black blooms to cool-season gardens, pollinator beds, and loose country-style bouquets. Their slender stems and fringed flowers add a light, informal texture.
Direct sow in cool soil and make a second planting where the season allows. Cut regularly to encourage more stems, or leave a few flowers to mature for easy seed saving and self-sowing.
