Strawflower

Strawflowers produce crisp, papery blooms that hold their color long after cutting, making them favorites for fresh bouquets, dried wreaths, and winter arrangements. Their warm-season plants flower in shades from white and gold to pink, orange, red, and bronze.

Start early or direct sow after frost, give plants full sun, and cut when the outer petals have opened but the centers remain tight. Hang small bundles upside down in a dry, shaded place for the best preserved color.
