Tomatoes
Tomatoes offer one of the widest ranges of flavor, color, shape, and use in the garden. Grow cherries for snacking, slicers for summer meals, paste types for sauce, and heirlooms in red, pink, yellow, orange, green, purple, striped, and nearly black.
Start seeds indoors, transplant after the soil and nights have warmed, and provide full sun, steady moisture, and sturdy support. Pick at full color and flavor, or bring mature fruits indoors before frost to finish ripening.
