Shipping policy

At Bucktown Seed Company, we work to make every delivery straightforward, dependable, and fairly priced.

Order Processing and Shipping Times

Orders typically leave our Pennsylvania facility within 2–3 business days, and many ship sooner. Orders placed after 12:00 p.m. ET on Friday or during the weekend begin processing on the next business day.

During sales, holidays, and other high-volume periods, processing may take slightly longer.

Shipping Destinations

We currently ship to addresses within the United States.

Rates and Free Shipping

Shipping rates are calculated according to package weight, dimensions, and destination.

Free standard shipping is available on qualifying orders of $79 or more delivered within the contiguous United States. The order subtotal must reach $79 after discounts and before taxes. Gift-card purchases do not count toward the free-shipping threshold.

Orders delivered to Alaska and Hawaii are charged applicable carrier-based shipping rates and are not eligible for the free-shipping offer.

Bulky and Heavy Items

Some products—including seed trays, plug flats, coco coir bricks, fertilizer bags, germination stations, and grow-light kits—are heavier or require larger cartons.

Additional shipping charges for these products are calculated according to total weight, package size, and destination and are displayed at checkout before the order is placed. Free-shipping promotions generally apply to seeds and smaller goods; heavy-goods charges may still apply when bulky products are included in the order.

Certain oversized products may not be available for delivery to Alaska or Hawaii because of carrier restrictions or shipping costs.

Carriers and Shipping Methods

Orders are shipped by USPS or UPS. The carrier and service are selected based on package weight, dimensions, destination, and the shipping option chosen at checkout.

Delivery Estimates

Delivery dates provided at checkout or through tracking are estimates rather than guarantees. Weather, carrier disruptions, holidays, and high-volume periods may delay delivery after an order leaves our facility.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email containing tracking information. Please check your spam or junk folder if the email does not appear in your inbox.

Tracking updates are provided by the carrier and may take time to appear after the shipping label is created.

Order Changes and Cancellations

Our team begins processing orders quickly. Once an order has entered fulfillment, we may be unable to change the address, add or remove products, or cancel the order.

Shipping Addresses

Please review your shipping address carefully before completing checkout. Bucktown Seed Company is not responsible for delays or nondelivery caused by an incomplete or incorrect address supplied with the order.

Returned or Undeliverable Packages

If an order is returned because of an incomplete, incorrect, or undeliverable address, we can arrange reshipment after the package has returned to us in its original condition.

The corrected address must be confirmed, and any additional shipping charge must be paid before reshipment. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Unavailable Items

If an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we may substitute it with a similar item of equal or greater value when possible. If a suitable replacement is not available, we will issue a refund for the unavailable item.

Damaged, Missing, or Lost Orders

If your order arrives damaged or is missing an item, please contact us promptly with your order number and photographs of the package, shipping label, and contents.

For packages marked delivered but not received, first check with members of your household, nearby neighbors, and the carrier. Then contact us so we can help review the shipment.

Returns

Eligible unopened items may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return eligibility, shipping costs, exclusions, and refund procedures are explained in our Refund Policy.
