Welcome to Bucktown Seed, a small, family-run seed company born in the basement of our Chester County, PA home in 2021. Since then, we’ve helped gardeners nationwide grow their own food, save seeds, and cultivate vibrant herb and flower gardens. Our mission is simple: to make the freedom of self-sufficiency accessible to everyone. We believe in the power of small beginnings. Just like the humble seed, our seed company grew from a small idea into something that brings healing, sustenance and beauty to folks all over the United States.
We provide open-pollinated, non-GMO seeds, including certified naturally grown varieties produced on our own land and many sourced from trusted U.S. growers—many of which are certified organic and heirloom. Each seed variety is rich with life, color, and flavor. In addition, we offer unique seed collections, seed starter kits, and garden supplies to support every step of your journey from seed to harvest.

Our story started not on a farm but behind the camera. As a commercial photographer, I saw the beauty in every crop—the colors, shapes, and textures that make each plant unique. Over the past 15 years, my desire to grow and consume food we can trust, without relying on big-box stores, took root. My goal is to return to a simpler way of life, full of connection, beauty, and sweat equity—one where I can provide food for my family harvested from our own land. Christa, a passionate educator and health advocate, brought her love for teaching and well-being into the mix, helping us share the joys of gardening, healing, and healthy living with others.
