Cosmos
Cosmos float above airy foliage with simple, open blooms that bring movement to cottage gardens, pollinator beds, and homegrown bouquets. White, pink, rose, orange, yellow, and chocolate-toned varieties thrive with relatively little fuss.
Direct sow after frost in full sun and avoid overly rich soil, which can produce leaves at the expense of flowers. Cut or deadhead often to keep new buds forming through the season.
