Nigella

Nigella, often called love-in-a-mist, threads fine foliage around delicate blue, white, pink, or purple flowers, followed by decorative seed pods. It brings a soft, old-fashioned look to cottage gardens, bouquets, and dried arrangements.

Direct sow in cool soil and make repeat plantings for a longer bloom season. Leave selected pods to mature for drying or seed saving, since plants do not enjoy transplanting.
