Flashback Mix Calendula brings the old apothecary flower back with a fresh twist—gold, apricot, and cream blooms whose petals flash maroon on the reverse. The effect is lively in beds and beautiful in jars, with long stems for cutting and a steady run of blooms in cool weather. Petals are edible and lightly resinous: scatter over salads, bake into shortbread, steep for tea, or dry for winter blends.

Traditional uses include coloring soups, butter, and cheese, and the petals remain a favorite for skin-soothing salves and oils. Plants are sturdy, bee-friendly, and quick to reseed if you let a few heads mature. A hardworking edible flower that earns space in both the kitchen and the medicine cabinet. These seeds are Certified Naturally Grown (CNG)—grown using practices that avoid synthetic inputs and focus on healthy soil and responsible stewardship.

Plant seeds directly into the garden in the spring after the danger of frost has passed. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 65-75°f. Or, start seed indoors 3-5 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Transplant to the garden 1-2 weeks after your average last frost date. The flower petals are edible and the flowers make long-lasting cuttings. They are very easy to grow and will reseed profusely. To get the most out of your flowers, make successive sowings every 2-3 weeks throughout the summer.
