HEIRLOOM. Chives are a hardy perennial that will form heavy clusters of 6-12 inch tall clumps. They are cut and come again, and the lavender flowers are beautiful. The delicate onion flavor is great once they are established, and they will last many years. Perennial in zones 3+. They are good for pot culture, and the finely chopped tops can be used as for many culinary purposes.
