Pacific Beauty Mix calendula brings a cheerful run of daisy-like blooms in warm shades of orange, gold, cream, and apricot. This old cottage-garden flower has long been grown in kitchen and apothecary gardens, with edible petals used fresh, dried, or scattered as a bright garnish.
The plants bloom best in cooler weather and keep producing when regularly picked. Bees visit the flowers, the stems work nicely in small bouquets, and the petals dry beautifully for teas, soaps, salves, and jars of homegrown color.
