Add some zing to your food with cilantro! This heat-resistant plant has a bright, bold flavor with undertones of citrus. Sow plants every ten days for continuous harvest – they grow quickly and reach a height of 18-24". You can enjoy cilantro in tacos, salads and soups, or use the leaves and seeds as you please. The flowers are also edible, so this versatile plant is great for any meal. Average 2,200 seeds/oz.
Cilantro is best direct sown into the garden in early spring or fall, when weather is cool. Sow seed about 1/2” deep in full sun and well-drained soil. If starting indoors, sow 4–6 weeks before transplanting and handle seedlings carefully, as cilantro is sensitive to root disturbance. For a continual harvest of leaves, make additional sowings every few weeks. Keep soil evenly moist during germination and early growth for the best stand. Cilantro tends to flower and go to seed quickly in warm weather, so regular sowings are the best way to extend harvest.
