Teddy Bear sunflower is a knee-high, multi-branching variety with fluffy, fully double golden blooms that look almost plush. Perfect for children’s gardens, borders, and pots, it still feeds bees at the small disc florets and birds once seeds mature.
Sunflowers were a food and dye crop for Indigenous peoples; this one skews ornamental but keeps the wildlife value. Direct sow after frost, give sun and regular water, and enjoy a friendly, compact sunflower that doesn’t need staking or acres of room.
