🚚 FREE SHIPPING for all orders over $79!
Table Queen is the classic dark-green acorn squash—ribbed, palm-size fruits with sweet, slightly nutty, golden flesh that bakes up beautifully. Introduced in 1913 and widely adopted by American market growers, it stuck because it’s dependable, productive, and easy to use in the kitchen. Halve and roast with butter and maple, stuff with sausage or wild rice, or slice into wedges for sheet-pan suppers; the small cavity and tidy size make weeknight meals simple. Vines are modest compared to other winter squash, so it fits smaller gardens and raised beds yet still sets a generous crop. Cure briefly after harvest and enjoy through the early winter months. Naturally rich in fiber, potassium, and beta-carotene.
Start seed indoors 3-4 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 65-85 degrees. Transplant to the garden 2 to 3 weeks after your average last frost. Or, plant seeds directly in the garden 1-2 weeks after average last frost date. Sow 3-5 seeds per hill, thinning to a final 2-3 plants per hill. Squash grow best in a warm site with full sun. Warm soil is essential to good seed germination and emergence. Using transplants can speed production.

Great product - great price!!!
Of all the local and organic seeds that I purchased this year, these seed packets clearly explain the best planting practices for the specific seed. No need to go and look it up on their website, it is all right there. Seeds were just started so I cannot testify to their germination rates or the fruit produced.
