HEIRLOOM, ORGANIC.

A & C Pickling Cucumber, a highly productive cultivar boasting a rich, dark-green hue that makes it an ideal choice for pickling when harvested at a length of 4-6 inches. This versatile cucumber also serves well for slicing when picked around 10 inches. Introduced in 1928, it carries a longstanding legacy of quality and is commonly referred to as the Ace cucumber. Consider this cucumber variety for its reliability and dual-purpose functionality in pickling and slicing applications.

Plant seeds directly in the garden in the spring after the danger of frost has passed, roughly 1-2 weeks after the average last frost date and when daytime temps are near 70°F. Sow 5-6 seeds per hill and thin to 2-3 plants. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 65-80 degrees. For transplants, start seed indoors 3-4 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Transplant to the garden 2-3 weeks after your average last frost date. Harvest when small & pick daily. Mature cucumbers on the vine slow production of new fruit.
