Green Globe - Artichoke Seeds
You can't beat the delicious flavor of Artichoke Green Globe! Heirloom variety. These 3-to 6 feet tall plants produce heads with thick scales and solid centers. The edible flower heads grow to 3-4 inches and are best harvested when young. Artichokes need a mild, damp, long season with rich soil to grow well. Perennial in zones 7+, annual in zones 3-6. GROWING TIPS
Start seed indoors 8-12 weeks before your anticipated planting date. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 70-80°F. Set transplants in the garden after danger of frost has passed. Time transplanting so plants receive exposure to about a dozen nights of sub-50°F temperatures to induce budding.
