Good people to work with. I had seeds in Trays 95% germinated good product I would order again.
I only planted 6 plants and I have 10 watermelons currently. Can’t wait for them to ripen so we can try them out. Zone 8- Texas

Straight Eight is a 1935 All-America Selections winner. An heirloom variety with a sweet and mild taste, it's excellent for slicing with its uniformly straight shape and small seed cavity. Its crisp flesh and high yield make this cucumber distinguished and free from stippling (bumps commonly found on other varieties).
Plant seeds directly in the garden in the spring after the danger of frost has passed, roughly 1-2 weeks after the average last frost date and when daytime temps are near 70°F. Sow 5-6 seeds per hill and thin to 2-3 plants. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 65-80 degrees. For transplants, start seed indoors 3-4 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Transplant to the garden 2-3 weeks after your average last frost date. Harvest when small & pick daily. Mature cucumbers on the vine slow production of new fruit.
