Strawflower Tall Mix Seeds
HEIRLOOM.
Add a touch of nostalgia to your garden with Strawflower Tall Mix seeds. This Australian native was introduced to Europe in the late 1700's and quickly became a favorite in old-fashioned gardens. The papery flowers come in shades of pink, yellow, white, orange and red and have a long bloom cycle from mid summer to fall. The flowers can be used for fresh cut flowers or dried for flower arrangements. Strawflower is a hardy, easy-to-grow plant that can be grown in containers adding a splash of color to any space. 500 mg ~ 500 seeds.
GROWING TIPS
Start seed indoors 4-6 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 70-75°F. Cover soil very lightly as seeds require light to germinate. Transplant to the garden 1-2 weeks after your average last frost date. Or, plant seeds directly in the garden after average last frost date. Strawflower is easy to grow, and perfect for containers. Give your plants full sun, moderate moisture, and well-drained soil, and they'll thrive in long, hot summers.
