GROWING TIPS

Plant seeds directly into the garden after the average last frost date. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 50-65 degrees. Sow thickly, then thin to 1 plant every 12". New Zealand spinach thrives in summer heat and will produce all summer long, unlike true spinach. Harvest tender leaves and shoot tips about 3-4” long. This will encourage the plant to branch.

Great seeds but #peppergate

The seeds I have gotten from bucktown over the years have been great. However, this year we fell victim to #peppergate. Our purple beauty's are some small HOT peppers. So that has been a big disappointment for this year. Hopefully next year's pepper seeds are more reliable.
