Empress of India - Nasturtium Seeds

Plant seeds directly in the garden as soon as the soil can be worked, roughly 2 weeks before average last frost date. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 60-70°f. Thin seedlings to 6-12" after first true leaves appear. Or, start seed indoors 3-5 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Harden off plants prior to transplanting outside. Transplant to the garden 1-2 weeks after your average last frost date. Edible flowers are a great addition to salads, and the spicy flavor compliments any dish.
