Thriving in cool weather and self-seeding for effortless regrowth, it’s a must-have for cottage gardens and wildflower beds. Easy to grow and drought-tolerant, Royal Carpet ensures a lush, colorful display with minimal upkeep. Tender perennial in zones 9-11.
GROWING TIPS
Start seed indoors 3-5 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Sow several seeds per pot and cover soil very lightly as seeds require light to germinate. Harden off and transplant to the garden after your average last frost date. Or, plant seeds directly in the garden as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. For warmer climates, sow mid-summer to late-winter for blooms lasting until summer of following year. Excellent for attracting pollinators and beneficial insects. Suitable for container growing. Perennial in zones 9-11.
