Dwarf Single Mix dahlias grow compact plants with open, daisy-like blooms in a lively range of reds, pinks, yellows, oranges, and whites. Unlike large decorative dahlias, these seed-grown plants are approachable, cheerful, and easy to use in containers, borders, and small-space flower gardens.

The single flowers show their centers clearly, making them friendly to pollinators while still offering plenty of color for cutting. Grow them as annuals, or lift and save tubers where winters are cold for a little continuation from one season to the next.

Every order is packed with care by our small team in Pennsylvania and typically ships within 2–3 business days—often by the next business day. We ship throughout the United States using USPS and UPS.

Unopened items may be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, please contact us so we can make it right.

Plant seeds directly in the garden after average last frost date when soil has warmed up. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 65-75°f. Or, start seed indoors 4-6 weeks before your anticipated planting date. Set transplants in the garden after danger of frost has passed.
Do not disturb roots when transplanting.
Remove spent flower buds promptly to encourage new growth. Dahlias will produce tubers that can saved and planted out the following spring. In autumn, after plants have died back but before ground freezes over, cut them back by 2-4" above soil and carefully remove tubers. Remove excess soil, cure tubers for a few days and pack with vermiculite.
