Polar Bear zinnia throws fluffy, fully double blooms in a cool, creamy white that lifts summer bouquets and calms hot‑colored beds. Heads often top four inches, held on strong stems that just keep coming if you cut regularly. Zinnias hail from Mexico, thriving in heat, poor soil, and full sun while feeding butterflies and native bees. White flowers are workhorses for arranging—blending hues and giving eyes a rest. Plant a block for cutting, or tuck clumps between vegetables to pull in pollinators and beneficial insects all season.

Plant seeds directly in the garden after average last frost date when soil has warmed up. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 70-90°f. Or, start seed indoors 3-4 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Transplant to the garden 2 to 3 weeks after your average last frost. A week before transplanting time, harden off plants by exposing them to an increasing number of hours outdoors each day. Requires full sun and well drained soil. Cut back old blossoms to encourage new growth.
