Forest Green parsley forms dense, frilly leaves that hold their curl and flavor longer than flat types—great for tabbouleh, chimichurri, and garnishing everything from soups to roasts. High in vitamins A, C, and K, parsley has long been used as a digestive aid and breath freshener. This variety regrows quickly after cutting and stays compact enough for pots. Start early or direct sow once soil warms; keep moisture steady for even germination. Snip often to push new growth, and let a few stems bloom if you’d like beneficial insects to visit. Easy, nutritious, and hard-working, it earns its patch in any kitchen garden.

Start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Seeds can be soaked in water overnight, then planted in containers. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 55-70 degrees. Transplant to the garden 1-2 weeks before your average last frost date. Or, plant seeds directly into the garden as soon as soil can be worked. Cuttings can be made throughout summer and into fall.
