Giant Coral zinnia throws broad, fully double blooms in saturated salmon‑coral tones that read warm in sun and softer in shade. Heads can top 4 inches across on sturdy stems built for cutting, and the more you harvest, the more it flowers. Zinnias hail from Mexico and the Southwest, long valued as tough, heat‑loving annuals that feed butterflies and native bees right through late summer. Plant a row for bouquets or dot them through a vegetable bed to pull in pollinators. Easy from seed, unfazed by heat, and generous with color, this is a workhorse for any cutting garden.

Plant seeds directly in the garden after average last frost date when soil has warmed up. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 70-90°f. Or, start seed indoors 3-4 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Transplant to the garden 2 to 3 weeks after your average last frost. A week before transplanting time, harden off plants by exposing them to an increasing number of hours outdoors each day. Requires full sun and well drained soil. Cut back old blossoms to encourage new growth.
