Matt’s Wild Cherry came from seed collected in Hidalgo, Mexico, and it shows—vines explode with clusters of tiny, candy‑sweet fruits that crackle with real tomato flavor. Fruits are marble‑size, perfect for grazing in the garden or tossing whole into salads. Plants sprawl and shrug off rain and disease better than most cherries. Lycopene and vitamin C ride in every bite. Give sturdy support, plenty of water, and don’t worry about pruning much; this one wants to run. If you want a tomato that acts like a berry patch, Matt’s delivers handfuls all summer long.

Start seed indoors 5-7 weeks before last frost. Provide plants with plenty of light to avoid tall, spindly tomato transplants. A sunny south-facing window or grow lights will be sufficient. A heat mat helps to speed up the germination process. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 65-85 degrees. A few weeks before transplanting time, harden off plants by exposing them to an increasing number of hours outdoors each day. Delay transplanting until your soil has thoroughly warmed up in the spring; usually about 2 weeks after the your average last frost date. Set transplants in the ground and cover stem so that only 2-3 sets true leaves are exposed, resulting in a stronger root system.

Great packaging, great seeds!

I hope to use these seeds for years to come. I am a new gardener, and had some issues with cold temps in our region this spring. Luckily, the seeds (2 tomato varieties and 2 pepper varieties) I planted outside in containers a month ago are now sprouted with the warm weather! So exciting.

Thank you for your positive review and for choosing our seeds, Bailey. We're thrilled to hear that you had a great experience with them and that they sprouted successfully despite the cold temperatures in your region this spring. We take pride in our packaging and strive to provide high-quality seeds that are easy to use and yield positive results. As a new gardener, we understand that there may be some challenges along the way, but we're here to support you and ensure your success. We're excited to be a part of your gardening journey and look forward to seeing the progress of your tomato and pepper plants.
