Looking for a unique and delicious way to add some variety to your salads? Look no further than Ruby Red swiss chard. Also known as "Rhubarb" swiss chard. Pick for baby greens or bunching. This dark crimson stalk and vein mix is filled with antioxidants, making it perfect for adding a nutritional boost to your meals. Best of all, the stalks can be cooked like asparagus, while the leaves have a pleasantly earthy flavor similar to spinach. 1.5g ~ 100 seeds.

Plant seeds directly into the garden starting 2-3 weeks before average last frost date when soil temperature is at least 50°F. Successive plantings can be made throughout the summer. You can also start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before transplanting. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 65-85 degrees. A spring planting can last all season long if well cared for. Chard can be planted again in late summer about 6-8 weeks before average first frost date.
