HEIRLOOM, ORGANIC.

Star of David Okra is an Israeli variety that grows tall stalks and produces pods that are 8 to 10 inches long. Best when picked small and fresh, Star of David is perfect for enjoying at home or taking to your next potluck. Medium, prickly spines if left to mature. 2g ~ 35 seeds.

Plant seed directly into the garden starting 1-3 weeks after average last frost date. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 65-85 degrees. When seedlings are 3" high, thin to final spacing. Okra is best when the fruit is tender and immature. Harvest when pods are 6-10" in length. Inspect and harvest at least every other day. Remove any over-mature fruit to encourage production of new flowers.

Orka

I unfortunately planted the Orka too late in the season in Amarillo Texas. However it still grew WONDERFULLY! I was able to harvest from 3 out of the 5 plants that came up. Next year I'll plant sooner.

Thank you for trying our Star of David Okra seeds, Michael! We're glad to hear that you had a positive experience, even though you planted them late. We hope you'll try again next year, and plant sooner!
