Borage is a vigorous heirloom herb with fuzzy leaves and star-shaped blue flowers that bees seem to find before anyone else. The edible blossoms have a mild cucumber note and look beautiful floated in drinks, scattered over salads, or frozen into ice cubes for a garden-grown flourish.

Plants can reach impressive size and reseed readily, so give them a little room. Borage is useful in pollinator plantings, herb beds, and edible flower gardens, where its rough leaves and bright blue stars bring a wild, generous charm.

Every order is packed with care by our small team in Pennsylvania and typically ships within 2–3 business days—often by the next business day. We ship throughout the United States using USPS and UPS.

Unopened items may be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, please contact us so we can make it right.

Plant seeds directly in the garden after average last frost date when soil has warmed up. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 60-80°f. Or, start seed indoors 3-5 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Transplant to the garden 1-2 weeks after your average last frost date. Borage is sensitive to transplant shock so carefully set in the garden. Harvest borage as it begins to flower. Dry under moderate heat with good air circulation.
