HEIRLOOM.

Grandpa Ott is an heirloom morning glory variety that is perfect for trellises, arbors, and lattices. The large funnel-shaped flowers are dark purple with a red star and white throat. Opening in the morning and lasting only one day, they will provide a colorful display throughout the summer. This heirloom variety attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Plants bloom mid-summer to early fall. 1.25g ~ 50 seeds.

GROWING TIPS

Plant seeds directly in the garden as soon as the soil can be worked, roughly a few weeks prior to average last frost date. Soaking seeds overnight in water can improve germination as morning glories have tough seed coats. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 60-75°F. Or, start seed indoors 4-8 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Harden off for 1 week prior to planting outside. Transplant to the garden 1-2 weeks after your average last frost. Plants are sensitive to transplant shock, so take care when transplanting.
