Dukat dill was selected for lush, ferny leaves loaded with flavor—perfect for fresh pickles, fish, yogurt sauces, and late‑season seed heads for canning. Compared to standard dill, Dukat stays leafy longer before bolting, giving you a wider harvest window. Dill has been used traditionally to soothe digestion and hiccups; in the garden it’s a magnet for swallowtail caterpillars and beneficial insects. Sow in place—dill hates transplanting—and repeat every few weeks for a steady supply. Let a few plants set seed to self‑sow. One packet covers the pickle crock, the pollinators, and your herb jar with ease.

Plant seeds directly into the garden in the spring after the danger of frost has passed. Optimum soil temperature for seed germination is 55-75°f. For a continual harvest of leaves, make additional plantings every 3 weeks except during the hottest part of the summer. Or, start seed indoors 3-4 weeks before transplanting into the garden. Transplant to the garden 1-2 weeks after your average last frost date. Dill
Self-sows readily.
