Choosing Organic & Naturally Grown Seeds

Certified Organic and Certified Naturally Grown are different programs, but both reflect a thoughtful approach to how seed is grown.

Certified Organic seed is produced under USDA organic standards. Certified Naturally Grown is a peer-review program often used by smaller farms that follow similar growing practices on a more local scale.

These certifications tell you how the seed crop was raised. They are separate from whether a variety is heirloom or open-pollinated. Every variety in this collection is non-GMO and open-pollinated, including many heirlooms that can be saved and grown again with proper isolation and care.
